Laurie Svitenko specializes in construction and surety litigation. A former claims attorney at Travelers, Ms. Svitenko is familiar with, and able to resolve, all of the issues that arise in the surety and construction claims context.  In this capacity, Ms. Svitenko has handled performance and payment bond claims in private and public projects in California, New Mexico, Idaho, Washington, Nevada, Alaska, Arizona, and Oregon.
In handling such claims, Ms. Svitenko negotiated with project owners, subcontractors and suppliers, and managed litigation involving bankruptcy, indemnity, breach of contract, and bad faith issues.  Prior to her legal career, Ms. Svitenko served in the United States Air Force for six and a half years as a contracting officer, where she administered Government construction contracts.
